ORGANIZATIONS- Alpine Home & School Association Republican
& Democratic Clubs Historic House: The 18th century Cornwallis
house nestled under the cliffs near the Alpine Boat Basin
is a State & National Landmark. It takes its name from
General Charles Cornwallis, who, according to legend stopped
there 1776 while on his way to attack rebel forces in Fort
Lee. Decorated w/period furniture, the house is open to he
